“This is the proudest moment of my ten years with Sony Ericsson,” exclaimed a nervous but visibly happy Rikko Sakaguchi, Executive Vice President & Chief Creation Officer at Sony Ericsson. Having spent a bulk of his tenure at Sony Ericsson on the Xperia Play project, it was a day of pride and joy for Rikko as he paraded his work in front of journalists from around the world.
The Xperia Play or more colloquially known as the elusive Playstation Phone is probably one of Sony Ericsson’s worst kept secrets. Tech heads around the world have anticipated its coming ever since Sony launched the Playstation Portable (PSP) almost seven years ago, and finally got a taste of the yet to be finished device in Barcelona last month.
