Air Asia flight AK5218 from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching skidded of the runway at about 10.20pm last night. 4 passengers suffered slight injuries and were rushed to Hospital Umum Sarawak for medical treatment. There is still no official statement from Air Asia with regards to the incident or the number of passengers on the flight. The Kuching International Airport is currently closed until further notice to facilitate the clearing works.
